We are accredited BPAD bushfire consultants with the Fire Protection Association of Australia. In addition to this, we are also registered as Consultants with the NSW Rural Fire Service. As a result, we’re qualified to perform NSW BAL Assessments.

As accredited bushfire consultants, we are qualified to perform NSW BAL Assessments to determine the Bushfire Attack Level for your property.

If your property is bushfire affected, Council requires a BAL Assessment to be submitted with your Development Application. Likewise, this BAL rating will become a part of your Construction Certificate approval as different BAL ratings have their own set of requirements.

A BAL assessment measures the potential exposure to ember attack, radiant heat and direct flame contact during a bushfire. As a result, the BAL establishes the requirements for construction to improve protection of the building from bushfire attack.
